Blewbury is very "nice". American tourists would no doubt call it "quaint" or "twee", but it's inhabitants don't appreciate these kinds of comments. People either come here to raise a family, or to enjoy their retirement. There is a population of about 1700, which makes Blewbury, believe it or not, regarded as a moderately large village for this area. Blewbury has (thankfully) four pubs, a couple of shops, a church, and an amateur dramatics group. About the most remarkable thing about Blewbury is the fact that it has thatched walls (the photo's been scanned - I know you've all been waiting for it). This about sums it up, really.
